TOMS RIVER MOVING FORWARD

Toms River Moving Forward is a community organization founded February 14th, 2014. Since then, we have been actively working to improve and build our community from a variety of  different angles. 

The Moving Forward Community Initiative(MoFo) is a project aimed at inspiring people to build community where there is a lack thereof. It is understood that there are organization's and municipalities already aimed at doing this in local communities, but, it is also understood that in many communities there is a disconnect between the people and these programs. 

Our idea is to unite people locally, while also working on our own projects and helping our members start their own. Many people seem to think they are helpless in enhancing their communities, being a person who isn't employed by a municipality or organization, and the goal here is to eliminate that feeling and show them just how and where they can help out their community. This project is aiming to inspire people to set up platforms to help inform and advise people of existing community programs, and establish true community in their area.

All you have to do to participate is come to one of the events.  If you live outside of the Toms River area, we can also help you set up your own MoFo Community group. A social site like Facebook works great for organizing, discussing, and informing.

Let's bring community back to life, in full force, so that we can all enjoy where we live!
